Months of training finally paid off for two of our Hong Kong staff when they competed in MoonTrekker 2011 last Friday night.

Always up for a challenge, Emma and Jojo decided to sign up for MoonTrekker back in July. The objective was pretty simple: hike 40km overnight across Hong Kong’s rugged Lantau Island before sun came up. Piece of cake, right?!

The girls – along with two other team mates – managed to beat the sun, conquering the course in just under 9.5 hours. Nice work!

MoonTrekker takes place in Hong Kong in October each year. All proceeds from the event go towards Room to Read, an organisation that runs numerous projects like building schools, libraries and various other educational facilities across Asia and Europe.

A quick note from Emma & Jojo:

A huge thank you to our colleagues who sponsored us. Our team managed to raise just over $4000 HKD for Room to Read – not a bad effort at all. We’re hoping to enter a Racepoint Group Hong Kong team into next year’s race. BRING IT ON!
